Sometimes, certain commands within Rhino don’t exist in Grasshopper. In this video, I'll show you how to create your own command or component based on similar inputs you'd find in a Rhino command. I’ll be walking you through all the steps to create a spiral starting with a baseline segment, which will have all the same capabilities as the command within Rhino.
This tutorial is all about creating custom scripts and components that you can use repeatedly for various projects. Grasshopper is incredibly useful because you can program the steps of what you want to create, saving time in the future by building a library of very handy reusable scripts.
I’ve added a new tab on my website where you can find utility scripts. These aren’t full designs but scripts that you can download and use for utility purposes. While I often share full design videos, I’m now focusing more on utility scripts that may not be complete designs but will help you understand how the program works.
Thank you for your support and for being here. Make sure to download the script while it’s available.
